27th December - Sleaford & District Canine Open Show
The last show of the year and my birthday too!
Down to Lincolnshire today for an Open Show for our Judge Mr Simon Luxmore who didn't have a bad entry of Boxers overall
Newlaithe Leonardo, owned by Pauline, made his debut in fine style winning Puppy (4 entries)
Newlaithe Milion Dreams won Junior and Pure Target won Post Graduate
In Open we had 3 Newlaithe entries from the 5 present and Newlaithe Trojan won, Newlaithe On Design JW second and Newlaithe Fast 'N Furious third
In the challenge we were delighted that from the 4 classes Team Newlaithe won each one
Pure Target took Best of Breed, Newlaithe Trojan Reserve Best of Breed and Newlaithe Leonardo Best Puppy in Breed

The last CH Show of the year and although not a very successful one for us we learnt that
CH Pure Faith is the Runner-Up Top Winning Bitch in the UK for 2013

7th December - Cotswold Boxer Club CH Show
Down to Stoneleigh today for our Judges Mr Keith Baldwin (Dogs) and Mr Bob Gregory (Bitches)
Newlaithe Dooglebug JW won undergraduate and Magicians Wonder second in a super Limit class (22 entries) and also
called in to challenge for the Reserve CC
In the girls it was a 'yellow' day with Pure Target JW (Yearling), Newlaithe On Design JW (Post Graduate), CH Pure Faith (Open) and
CH Designed For Looks (Veteran) all taking third place
It was also Championship Show debuts for Magical Mysteries with Paul & Charlie and Pretty Mona Mai with Sue who are both sired by
CH Newlaithe On Target JW ShCM - both unplaced today but put on excellent performances
1st December - Darwen Canine Society
Paul & Amber (Magical Mysteries from Newlaithe) flew the flag today and boy did they fly it high!
Not only did they win Best Puppy and Best of Breed they also won BOTH the
WORKING GROUP and the PUPPY WORKING GROUP

At The Merseyside Boxer Club Open Show our Judge was Mrs R Wright
Newlaithe Dooglebug JW second in Junior, Newlaithe Trojan with Julie, won Post Graduate
Per Una with Karen, third in Minor Puppy, Magical Mysteries with Paul, reserve in Minor Puppy, Newlaithe Milion Dreams reserve in Junior
On Fire with Amanda, reserve in Novice, Newlaithe On Design JW second in Open and the star for the day Pure Target who won a good Post Graduate followed by Reserve Best Bitch in Show
Per Una and Magical Mysteries also took part in the Special Puppy Event judged by Charlotte Crooks and took second and third respectively
12 miles away was LKA where On Fire with Amanda and Per Una with Dean & Karen flew between throughout the day - but worth every minute!
On Fire won Post Graduate and BEST OF BREED and Per Una won Junior and BEST PUPPY IN BREED
Both returned later in the day and we are delighted that
On Fire won WORKING GROUP 2 and
Per Una won PUPPY WORKING GROUP 2
What a super day
9th November - South Western CH Show
A bit of a strange day - to begin with great the latter not so good!!
We traveled down to Weston-Super-Mare today for our Judge Mrs Barbara Murray
CH Designed For Looks started the day off by winning Veteran, Newlaithe Milion Dreams reserve in a good Junior class
Pure Target a super second in Yearling, Newlaithe On Design JW VHC in Post Graduate and Pure Faith second in a fabulous Open class
During the day Paul, CH Sezflo Pure Faith by Newlaithe's owner, put on a super 'Champions Party'
with Champagne, Wine, Beer, Sandwiches and Cakes for all to share - the alcohol didn't last long!!
Then then bad side started - about 5 miles away from the venue on stopping for a coffee transportation disaster struck
All in all we waited about 4 hours for a lovely Welsh man to pick us up with the Van on his truck and bring us home
Not the best way to end the day!
Paul at his 'Champions Party Table' before everyone devoured the food and alcohol
But the Champers bottle was empty by 11.30am!!
2nd November - Working & Pastoral Breeds Scotland
A day and a half for Newlaithe!
Decided to go the night before to Edinburgh ready and refreshed for the day ahead
Our Judge today was Mrs Marion Campbell (Southern Ireland) and Boxers had the largest entry over both Groups
Newlaithe Dooglebug JW won a good Junior class, Pure Target JW won a good Yearling Class, Newlaithe On Design JW won a great Post Graduate class
and just when we thought the day couldn't get any better Pure Faith won a fabulous Open class (her first Open after winning her way out of Limit)
In the Challenge we were over the moon to win the
BITCH CHALLENGE CERTIFCATE with Pure Faith which, subject to KC confirmation, will make her
CHAMPION SEZFLO PURE FAITH BY NEWLAITHE
How fantastic that 3 of the 7 Bitch classes were won by CH Newlaithe On Target JW ShCM's daughters
The journey home did not seem like 260 miles!!

A lovely local Open Show today over at Lach Denis - always a good show and our Judge was Mrs Sue Garner
Dooglebug still resting! Newlaithe Trojan, with Julie, won Post Graduate, Newlaithe On Design JW won Post Graduate (Bitch) and
Pure Faith won Open
Another debut made today by Magical Mysteries from Newlaithe who took second in the Special Puppy Class (judged by Dave Caufield)
and won Minor Puppy Bitch in the main show - fantastic start for Paul & Charlie
25th October - Midland Counties CH Show
Down to Stafford today where our Judge was Mr Joe Smith
We decided to give Dooglebug a rest this week, Magicians Wonder took a great reserve in Limit and the star of the day
Per Una from Newlaithe (a Signature daughter) VHC in her very first Championship Show - way to go Karen & Dean
Pure Target also took a super third in the Good Citizens Stakes class under Derek Smith
20th October - Open Show

We received some very sad news today in that Arthur Ainsworth has passed away
Arthur was such a character to everyone who he met and we had the pleasure of knowing him for many years
Arthur owned one of our girls in partnership with us Newlaithe Hot Heels (Venus) who he and his wife Pauline adored
We hold dear many happy memories and some hilarious antics at various events

So off we set on our travels across the Irish Sea and up to Belfast for 2 days
A long haul but good fun and with six of us traveling some good laughs throughout
On the first day at The Irish Boxer Club our Judge was Mr Frank Kane who awarded Newlaithe Dooglebug JW third in Junior
Newlaithe Trojan, with Julie, second in Graduate and Newlaithe Fast 'n Furious, with Sarah, took a great third in Post Graduate
Pure Target third in Junior, Newlaithe Milion Dreams third in Yearling, Pure Faith third in Limit and
our star for the day Newlaithe On Design JW won Graduate
The following day it was Belfast CH Show with Sandra Carter as our Judge
Newlaithe Dooglebug JW VHC in Junior, Pure Target reserve in Junior, Newlaithe Milion Dreams VHC in Yearling and our two stars
Newlaithe On Design JW won a super Post Graduate class and Pure Faith won Limit followed by the
RESERVE BITCH CHALLENGE CERTIFICATE
After a long journey home at some silly o'clock in the morning all home safe and sound ready for next year now!!
19th September - Driffield CH Show
Another local show for us today at Wetherby Racecourse where our Judge was Mrs Marion McArdle
Newlaithe Dooglebug JW took third in a good Junior class, Newlaithe Trojan with Julie made the cut in Post Graduate
and Magicians Wonder a super second in Limit
Pure Target JW won a superb Junior class and Pure Faith won another Limit class
Sadly we missed all our Stakes classes however Sarah with Lex (Fast 'n Furious) and Julie with Troy (Trojan) made the Special Beginners Stakes
and took second and third respectively

16th September
Another dreary dismal day here at Newlaithe 2013 has not been a good year
We had to say sorry to our beautiful old girl Louie Lila
She was 13 and a half years young and a credit to us all
Although only lightly shown herself she won her class at Crufts - she didn't really like the shows!
However she excelled in the whelping box and produced some fantastic puppies for us
She became Dam of Merit producing two Champions - Just Stunning and On Target who amassed 11 CCs and 14 RCCs between them
Louie is also behind most of our present show team
She was a superb girl, a delight to have at home and is and will be sorely missed

14th September - Darlington CH Show
A new venue today at Ripon Racecourse and the weather just about held out!
Our Judge today was Mr Alan Cuthbert who awarded Newlaithe Dooglebug JW first in Junior, Newlaithe Fast 'n Furious third in Post Graduate with Sarah
and Newlaithe Trojan, with Julie, VHC in the same class
In the girls Pure Target JW third in Junior
Sarah and Lex (Fast 'n Furious) also entered the Special Beginner Stakes and won - brilliant result with Julie and Troy (Trojan) VHC in the same class
Lovely to see the Howard family including Hobbes (Conjured Design x Lucciana Son) who looks stunning
Cant wait to see you all again next year :o)
7th September - Richmond CH Show
A bit bleak today down at Losely Park, but the weather kind of held off for us!!
Our Judge today was Mr Ronnie Irvine who awarded Magicians Wonder third in Limit
Pure Target JW continued her winning streak with another Junior win and Pure Faith third in Limit

On a sadder note we received an e-mail from the Wang family in Hong Kong to let us know that they had had to let Milo go
Milo was Vinnie's litter brother who we lost on Thursday just gone
They must be enjoying themselves together now up there in Doggy Heaven

4th July - Another sad day here at Newlaithe
We had to make the heart breaking decision to let Vinnie (Newlaithe Dusty Nation) go to a peaceful place today on his 12th Birthday
He lost the sight in one eye some 18 months ago (through tail damage!) and in May this year another tail whipped his other eye and took his entire sight away
We have battled for several weeks with various treatments to no avail - sadly neither his body or brain could take it anymore
Vinnie was the reason I came back into showing dogs some 11 and a half years ago after begging Mum not to send him to the USA
(which is where he was supposed to go!) - eventually I won and Vinnie came to live with me
Over the years he went everywhere with me he even went to my work (every single day!) for about 4 years
Unfortunately, as Males sometimes do, Diesel (Conjuror) and Vinnie decided they didn't like each other anymore and Vinnie spent
the last few years with Mum
A beautiful boy who has ruled both mine and Mum's settees for 12 years

Down to Maven today where surprisingly enough it stayed dry all day!

The last of our local Club Championship Shows in St Helens where our Judge was Mrs Val Jordan (Sunvalley)
Pure Target took second in Junior and On Fire VHC in the same class, Newlaithe Redesigned reserve in Graduate
and Pure Faith another good second in Limit (only beaten by the CC Winner)
After both a hectic week and weekend we have now said our farewells to Peter Foster from Australia
who stayed with us after our Championship Show last weekend
If nothing else Peter will always remember the journey to Wales!

We set off on the lovely drive down to Builth Wells at some unearthly hour - not the best of starts with a nose bleed but hey ho!

A long trip down to Chepstow today for our Judge Mrs Rosina Brace (Sjecoin - Australia)
In first went Newlaithe Dooglebug who won a super Minor Puppy Dog class (11 entries) followed by Magicians Wonder who took reserve in Limit
Very Attracted, owned and handled by Veronica Feaver & John Cormack, won Limit
In the Challenge we were delighted when Newlaithe Dooglebug won Best Puppy Dog and Very Attracted the Reserve Dog CC
Then the girls - in first was our wonderful CH Designed For Looks who won a good Veteran Class and loved every minute of it!
Newlaithe Milion Dreams put on a sterling performance in Minor Puppy with 15 entries but sadly unplaced
Pure Target took a super second in the largest class of the day Puppy (21 entries) with Newlaithe On Design also second in Junior (only beaten by the CC winner)

The sad part of the day was saying goodbye to Dave & Faye Crooks who will shortly be making their way back home to sunny (and very hot) Australia!
10th March - CRUFTS
Once again the greatest Dog Show on the earth (not!) it is so commercialised these days and is for the paying public not the Exhibitors and Dogs but hey ho!
We only entered one dog ourselves Newlaithe On Design in Junior and she gained reserve under Yvonne Miller (Walkon)
We also showed Pure Target who also took reserve in Puppy
Although not a hugely successful show for us we had a great day with friends and dogs alike
Thank goodness it is now all over for another year
Now we can spend a few days back at home with our Australian friends Dave & Faye Crooks who own Australian CH Targeted by Newlaithe

A local show today again down at Newark for our Judge Mrs Jill Peak
No puppy classes so Newlaithe On Design and Newlaithe Milion Dreams were both in a good Junior Class, with On Design winning the class and Milion Dreams second
This have 'Tara' her final point for her Junior Warrant and subject to KC confirmation will now be Newlaithe On Design JW
Again as no Puppy class Newlaithe Dooglebug went into Post Graduate and to our delight, at just 7 months old won the class
Newlaithe Trojan with Julie took third in the same class and Newlaithe Fast 'n Furious with Sarah won a good Open Class

On Fire by Newlaithe. At just 10 months this bitch has a lot going for her, already has an excellent gait and positive hind action going away
which seems to be lacking in some puppies today.
Good head to handle being broad, well filled and proportionate. Well laid in shoulder although a little loose on the front but the build is there and should tighten with age.
